Florida, with over 4,100 species of native or naturalized ferns
and seed plants, is the third most floristically diverse state in
the United States. This project is a database of all documented plant
taxa growing wild in Florida and the distribution (by county) of each.
Distribution maps and nomenclature are available online.
The purpose of the Flora of Florida project is to produce a comprehensive
treatment of all the vascular plants in the state that grow outside
of cultivation.
